DISCOVER NAPLES, FLORIDA
A TASTE TO DELIGHT EVERY PALATE
With over 700 restaurants in Naples alone, compiling our picks for the best of the best was a tough but tasty task. A list of the best restaurants in Naples is essential for planning the perfect trip.
Naples is a culinary dream, and you can sip and savor to your heart's content at hundreds of excellent restaurants. From casual eateries, retro-style diners, trendy food trucks, and high-end restaurants all around town, you’re never at a loss for where to eat in Naples.
As hosts, we’re often asked about the best places to eat in Naples, which is impossible to answer. The city boasts so many top restaurants — some with a coveted sunset view, a prime spot along Fifth Avenue South or Third Street South, or have the best breakfast in town — many with food and service that are reliably excellent. Some of Naples’ best restaurants are even off the beaten tourist path, tucked back in shopping plazas or residential neighborhoods.
It’s rare to find all of our dining desires in just one place, and I've likely missed one of your favorites, but for now, these are the ones we feel are at the top of the game.
BEST OVERALL
Barbatella
Unlike the traditional Italian trattoria that serves mostly take-away food, Barbatella is a classy, albeit whimsical bistro and wine bar. The extensive menu features authentic regional dishes with fresh interpretations.
Not long ago Dabo Swinney, Clemson's national championship football coach, raved (for FOUR minutes) about this gem. I feel him. A sister restaurant to Sea Salt and Dorona, Chef Aielli turns his eye for detail to mozzarellas, salumi, antipasti, and pasta — all of which are made in-house. The Short Rib Ravioli with black truffle cream is to die for. And save room for a scoop or two of the house-made gelato!

BEST DIVE
North Naples Country Club
The Irony is found in the name itself, North Naples Country Club. No pristine 18-hole golf course awaits duffers outside its door. Instead, heavily traversed U.S. 41 runs alongside it. The lime-green exterior only adds to its label for Neapolitans, a "dive" bar, one of Southwest Florida's finest.
Regardless of what you've heard about this interesting bar, give it a chance. The original bar was built around 1938, and that's ancient history in Naples. And it's been known for years for clever sayings on its outdoor sign.
